SEAN A. COTE, J.D.
When Sean enrolled at Penn State, he knew he wanted to be a lawyer. Taking two legal classes taught by his mentor only reinforced his decision to pursue practicing law. Sean’s innate drive and integrity are what keeps him grounded in his pursuit and constant need to help his clients attain success and live their best lives. As an associate of Collier & Associates Co., L.P.A., he provides counsel to dentists, physicians, and veterinarians who are seeking to hang up their lab coats and retire comfortably, buy into an already established practice, or start their own practice.
Representing clinicians who constantly face different challenges shows just how in tune Sean is to discover the best possible solutions for them. Sean brings with him a vast wealth of knowledge in areas such as practice valuations, tax allocations, associate employment, independent contractor agreements, and buy-sell agreements. He also regularly consults with clients to provide practice management advice such as shareholder, corporate director minutes, and entity selection.
Prior to joining our firm, Sean worked in estate planning and all functions of corporate law, including but not limited to business structuring, managing contracts, negotiations, and business transactions.
Sean is a valued member of the Ohio State Bar and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
In his free time, Sean enjoys Penn State football games, going to the Outerbanks (where he was married in 2021), exploring Cleveland's brewery scene and watching The Office.
