Linda J. Hay
Linda J. Hay focuses her practice on the defense of all types of professionals, including individual healthcare practitioners such as physicians, dentists, and nurses. Ms. Hay also defends institutions such as hospitals, healthcare systems, and facilities, as well as clinics and group practices, when they are charged with negligence and related claims. She has tried numerous cases to a successful verdict. The majority of her practice is in Cook County, Illinois.
In addition to trying cases, Ms. Hay has also handled multiple appeals and has represented many practitioners in their related disciplinary agencies, where professional licensure is at risk.
Before joining HeplerBroom, Ms. Hay was an equity partner in the Chicago firm of Hay & Oldenburg LLC. Prior to Hay & Oldenburg, Ms. Hay worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois in the Appellate Division and held both trial and appellate level judicial clerkships. Ms. Hay is actively involved in numerous defense bars, professional liability, and risk management organizations, nationally and locally. She regularly lectures and publishes in the field of dental, healthcare, and legal malpractice defense.
