RETIREMENT PLANNING - ADVANCED INVESTMENT WEBINAR
In response to many of your requests, we are bringing back the Advanced Investment Webinar series this year! We are presenting this webinar in four, hour-long, segments that are eligible for AGD PACE and CERP CE Credits.
The Advanced Investment Seminar has been extremely popular and often sold out. The seminars are designed for doctors who have some knowledge as well as those who are seeking to learn more about investing from someone who is not selling anything.
We will start with some basic concepts before diving into more advanced topics like financial planning, asset allocation, how to select great companies, and much more. The goal is to get wealthy by investing our savings in a sensible long-term manner without letting investing take over our lives.

PRESENTED BY: Brandon Collier
The Basic Investment Alternatives
And the One We Most Prefer
As a seasoned attorney and practice transitions expert, Brandon provides unbiased advice to dentists on legal matters (taxes, employment laws, etc.), practice management, practice transitions, insurance, investment strategies for retirement, supporting them in becoming successful in business and life. He is the President of Collier & Associates, Inc and editor of the firm's (twice a month) premium doctors' newsletter publication.
Financial Disclosure: Brandon is the President of Collier & Assosciates, Inc. and a Partner in Collier & Associates Co., L.P.A
In this lecture, Brandon Collier will start with first principles, explaining what an investment fundamentally is and the difference between an investment’s “volatility” and its “risk.” Understanding these is crucial because it focuses us on the risks of the first two types of investment options and the long-term opportunities of the third:
- Currency-denominated assets like bank deposits, mortgages and bonds;
- Assets that don’t produce anything but are bought in the hope that someone will pay more for them later (gold, cryptos, even tulips!); and
- Productive assets such as businesses (or real estate or even farmland)
Brandon will then describe the kinds of productive businesses he’s looking for in building a stock portfolio and how to find them.
